Motorsport has always been the premier proving ground for automotive technology. As autonomy moves to the forefront of research interests, a racing competition provides the opportunity to push research goals and adapt to situations more challenging and diverse than controlled test environments. The high dynamics present in the Indy Autonomous Challenge require teams to redefine the bounds of performance in extreme settings while still maintaining safety. Furthermore, technologies developed through the competition can be used to increase the performance, safety, and robustness of current consumer and commercial vehicles.

We are proud of our work at the GAVLAB and are excited to push our abilities and showcase them on an international level.
